Each day, 160,000 children refuse to go to school for fear of being bullied. Michael Sensei created EveryBully to teach parents how to guide their children through the bully dynamic.
The ancient wisdom of the martial arts transcends physical combat; it applies to all aspects of life. Over five decades of training and teaching, Michael Sensei has mastered his craft while gaining a unique and profound insight into the human experience.
Through the art of storytelling, Michael Sensei will open your eyes to a deeper understanding of the synergy of life, one challenge at a time.
About Michael
Hello! Thank you for stopping by.
My name is Michael, and I’ll be your host on this guided tour of my life. I began studying Kung Fu in 1969, motivated by two events; I witnessed my first public bullying at school, and I watched my first episode of “The Green Hornet”, starring Bruce Lee as Kato.
I put 2 & 2 together and was convinced at the age of nine, that Kung Fu was my best shot at beating a bully. I started training in Karate in 1972, earning my first of many Black Belts in 1977.
I opened my first studio in 1988, and have worked with hundreds of families over the course of my career. I’ve competed at the highest level and have trained champions of all ages. I am recognized internationally as a Master of Kyokumaru Karate, Feeding Crane Kung Fu and Yang Family Tai Chi Chuan. Within the martial arts community, I am considered a “Teacher’s teacher”. I’ve developed programs for students with special needs, law enforcement agencies and everyone in-between.
My current work, EveryBully, is undoubtedly the closest to my heart. I have trained and counseled so many children who have been bullied and I can confidently say that I have a unique perspective regarding the bully dynamic. My entire life has led me here, and now it is my privilege to share these life changing strategies with every family.
Thanks for listening,
Michael Mendoza

Michael's flagship keynote represents a lifetime of helping children manage their bullies. Try as they might, parents and teachers rarely possess the tools to guide a child through this dynamic.
EveryBully offers a solution:

Learn the 3 Ps of bully behavior: Pretending, Protecting and Projecting, and how they effect our strategy
-
Learn simple techniques to create a S.A.F.E. space within your child by nurturing Self-worth, Accountability, Forgiveness and Empathy
-
Learn to use VJJ: Verbal Jujitsu, to respond to insult and control the dialogue
Through the eyes of EveryBully, you will no longer see a problem, but an opportunity to empower your child and be part of a profound transformation that will serve them for the rest of their life.
Common Confusions that Contribute to Chaos.
As we make our way through this human experience, we sometimes stumble over tripwires of our own creation. Our lives are guided not by what we know, but by what we have convinced ourselves of. Simple misunderstandings like:
-
Confusing standard of living with quality of life
-
Confusing activity with achievement
-
Confusing pleasure with joy, or happiness with either,
may lead us to a place we never wanted to be
As someone who has taken a lesson away from every misstep, I can help you recognize these potential hazards on the road of life.
Let's laugh and maybe shed a tear at the expense of the former me, while we clear the way for the future you.
Yield to Conquer, Tai Chi the Matrix.
Millions of people practice tai chi for health and vitality, but few realize that the principles of tai chi can be very useful in the real world. In fact, they can be your secret weapon. A refreshing change from typical matrix training, this 3 hour workshop will teach you a little tai chi, a little push hands and a lot of winning strategies.
Whether you're training a sales force, marketing division, or the next generation of trial attorneys, tai chi will give you the edge:
-
Come to understand conflict as simply an interplay of opposites
-
Use Ting Jing, (listening energy), to follow the flow, weave a pattern of entry and ultimately...
-
Realize the inadvertent position of advantage when it inevitably appears
I have seen the application of these principles change the energy in the boardroom and the courtroom, always to the advantage of the tai chi player.
